We're here for men and women over 50 who want to reconnect and become aware of their body’s needs so they can confidently take actions to feel stronger and more in control in adapting and staying physically well in daily life instead of feeling worried and angry about losing fitness and being mentally overloaded.

We all experience discomfort at some time or another in the course of our lives, so know that you are not alone. We may notice we can't do the things we were once able to. Our body isn't co-operating and it seems to object with stiffness and pain. So frustrating right? I bet you're wondering - How can we change this? |
Yoga is being recommended daily by doctors for stiffness, everyday aches and joint pains that seem to have crept up on us even when we were active and eating healthily or maybe we've been too busy to look after ourselves. We find ourselves with neck, shoulder, back, hip, knee or joint issues that stop us from doing activities that we enjoy. Popping pills to keep going. |
With increased muscular tone, strength and flexibility the whole body improves its capabilities allowing you to enjoy an even better quality of life.
Regular practice of yoga for over 50's can lower stress hormones and inflammation, boost the immune system, and decrease the chance of sickness.
Everyday Michael and I are so grateful for our yoga practice. We enjoy the variety, ease of movement, sense of calm awareness and enjoyment that yoga brings. We have both used yoga to relieve back pain, shoulder pain and knee issues over the years and continue to be surprised at the incredible effectiveness of yoga not only physically but mentally as well.

"I have tried various yoga classes with different instructors in the past, but used to leave the classes feeling as though I was not good/supple enough. Having practiced with Kari for the last two and a half years, I can honestly say that I feel I am making good progress.
Kari creates a warm and friendly atmosphere, where all abilities are catered for and the balance between physical and relaxation is just right.
