Whether you're brand new to yoga or already experienced, this retreat welcomes all levels. The practices are designed to be accessible, supportive and deeply effective, even for those navigating health conditions or long-standing fatigue.

    Accessible for all levels, Dru Yoga uses soft, flowing movements, breathwork, and visualisation to gently unlock tension and restore natural balance.

  • Meditation Made Easy
    Whether you’re a complete beginner or have meditated before, you’ll be guided through simple, effective techniques to quiet the mind and reduce inner restlessness.

  • Yoga Nidra (Yogic Sleep)
    A powerful guided relaxation that brings deep rest to your nervous system — ideal for healing stress, insomnia, and emotional fatigue.
 
  • Breathwork to soothe your nervous system, improve focus, and restore clarity.

All this, held in the peaceful, healing environment of the Lam Rim Buddhist Centre — a Tibetan lineage sanctuary with decades of meditation embedded in its walls. Surrounded by beautiful gardens, a tranquil prayer path, and ancient trees, it’s a place where nature, quietude, and spiritual presence gently support your journey back to balance.

Our approach is gentle, grounded and deeply human. We offer a safe space where it’s okay to move slowly, lie down often, or take breaks when you need. We value connection — to yourself, to others, and to the land — more than performance or perfection.

(Easy access from Abergavenny, Monmouth, and Chepstow)
BY CAR - Lam Rim is within easy reach from main motorway routes.
​

Location: Lam Rim Buddhist Centre, Pentwyn Manor, Penrhos, Raglan Monmouthshire. NP15 2LE

​Directions to the Centre:
  • a) From the A449 travelling from either Monmouth or Newport directions, take the A40 exit towards Abergavenny.
    • Get in the right hand lane to cross over the dual carriageway signed towards Mitchel Troy and Dingestow.
  • b) From Abergavenny take the A40 towards Raglan / Monmouth. Take the slip road off towards Mitchel Troy and Dingestow.
Then for a or b :
  • Almost immediately take the left fork towards Tregare.
  • At the T Junction turn right where there is sign (small white post) for Lam Rim (your Sat Nav may suggest left at this point but please ignore it!). 
  • Take the almost immediate next left, (notice the cream cottage on the right and turn left almost opposite this and before the red cottage which you will see ahead of you).   
  • Follow this winding lane (bearing left at the green triangle) and then turn left at the sign post for Penrhos. 
  • At the crossroads in the lane, Lam Rim Buddhist Centre is straight in front of you.   You will see the yellow and red notice board at the gate entrance.

​We are Kari van Eden and Michael Cordel, Dru Yoga and Meditation teachers with a passion for helping people soften, heal, and come home to themselves. Between us, we bring decades of experience in holistic wellbeing, including breath coaching, hands-on healing, acupuncture and care work.

We live simply near the Wye Valley, with nature as our teacher and sanctuary. We know what it’s like to feel stretched thin — and how vital it is to have spaces like this to come back to yourself.

This is not a performance. It’s not about fixing. It’s about remembering who you are beneath the noise, and gently reawakening the peace that’s been there all along.
