Hi there, this is Kari and a little about my yoga journey. I heard about yoga as a teenager as my Aunt was practicing it and it always stuck with me. It was only when I became an assistant teacher at a Montessori Nursery School, that I started yoga with a Belgian Yogi who moved in just down the road. I think our first teacher is always the best one.

I loved yoga right off. It was just my thing... mindful... exciting... and leading me down an unknown path. It also helped me to be calmer and happier. Fast forward 11 years.
I was now living in North Yorkshire, UK. Life was emotionally exhausting on all levels, physically demanding and total burnout a year and a half prior. I had only practiced yoga sporadically during pervious 6 years. I found myself in a deep depression and going down, unable to turn it around, just about functioning day to day.
I attended Quaker Meetings & found a bit of peace there. I learnt & taught Quantum Touch Healing, learnt Metamorphic Technique but realised I did not like doing one to one healing because most people do not take responsibility for their illness but liked to give responsibility to the therapist. My view on healing is I am a fascilitator and it is the person that chooses to heal themself.

A lovely yoga teacher moved to my village and I started yoga practice again. She encouraged me to go and train to teach. I went on to train as a Dru Yoga Teacher. I loved their style as it brought together my healing, love of metaphysics, spirituality and yoga all together in one 'pot'.

For the past 11 years I have been teaching Dru yoga and have been inspired by my students dedication and heartened that some have gone on to train as teachers. It is wonderful to observe the changes that happen in students who become fascinated by their practice and realise the value and fruits of their yoga practice.

Yoga has 'saved my life' 3 times and it is my constant joy and fascination. I love sharing the joy, beauty and power of yoga. Thank you for taking the time to read my yoga story. x

Kari has taught yoga, yoga nidra, meditation and practiced energy healing for the past 25 years.

We aim to facilitate healing through the practice of yoga, meditation, yoga nidra, breathing and relaxation, in a caring, supportive manner, helping the individual to achieve their fitness and wellbeing goals.
